How Much Do I Need

Figuring out how much material you need for a project can be difficult. This chart can give you an estimate. Simply measure the area you need to cover, multiply to determine square footage, and decide on your coverage depth.

For example:

Your driveway is 90 feet long and 10 feet wide.

90 feet x 10 feet = 900 square feet

One yard of bulk will cover 160 square feet at 2 inches of depth.

So, to cover 900 square feet, divide 900 square feet by 160 square feet. You would need 5.62 yards of bulk material.

Coverage: 1 yard of bulk will cover:
1 inch depth 320 square feet
2 inch depth 160 square feet
3 inch depth 110 square feet
4 inch depth 85 square feet
5 inch depth 62 square feet
6 inch depth 54 square feet
7 inch depth 47 square feet
8 inch depth 40 square feet
9 inch depth 35 square feet
10 inch depth 31 square feet
11 inch depth 29 square feet
12 inch depth 27 square feet
15 inch depth 22 square feet
18 inch depth 18 square feet
24 inch depth 14 square feet
